The Stand of Colours

From its earliest years, our Society has built its Stand of Colours and encouraged members to contribute flags and Colours to the collection. The parading of the Colours each year at the Washington's Birthday Dinner is a stirring sight. The Society hopes to continue to increase its Stand of Colours through the generosity of members who wish to honor a family member of friend in this manner.

There are now 45 flags of the Revolution in our collection, on display with the Virginia Historical Society's Battle Abbey. For an online look at our flag collection, please see the Colour Guard links on the left.
