The Stand of Colors

From its earliest years, our Society has built its Stand of Colors and encouraged members to contribute flags and colors to the collection. The parading of the Colors each year at the Washington's Birthday Dinner is a stirring sight. The Society hopes to continue to increase its Stand of Colors through the generosity of members who wish to honor a family member of friend in this manner.

There are now 45 flags of the Revolution in our collection, on display with the Virginia Historical Society's Battle Abbey. For an online look at our flag collection, please see the Color Guard links on the left.
