Purpose of the Patriots Fund The purpose of the PATRIOTS FUND is to raise monies that would enable the Virginia Society to support and expand its scope of patriotic activities. Money raised would augment the operating budget and allow the pursuit of new areas of interest and activity as approved by the Officers and Board of Managers. Potential examples of such activity include:
The PATRIOTS FUND would enable the preservation of the Society’s existing assets and principal while carrying on with such worthy activities as mentioned above. It is felt the PATRIOTS FUND should continue in perpetuity and be re-solicited annually with an established annual goal. The assets should accrue and, as mentioned, be used only with Officer and Board of Managers approval. Further, contributions from the membership and other appropriate sources should be voluntary with the level of individual giving at the discretion of the donor. The various levels of giving to the PATRIOTS FUND are listed below:
Contributions will be recognized annually and, as stated, are tax deductible.
Contributions should be made payable to: PATRIOTS FUND, S.R., Virginia
Society. The PATRIOTS FUND has been established by the Board of Managers of the Virginia Society. The Society is a tax exempt not for profit organization in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. As such, contributions to the PATRIOTS FUND qualify as tax exemptions for the donor. Please note that members’ annual dues remain on a non tax exempt basis.
