The third annual old-fashioned Virginia Oyster Roast was held at Fort Pocahontas in Charles City County on Saturday, November 5, 2011. The event provided a welcome social occasion to enjoy good company, beautiful scenery along the James and classic Virginia fare: roasted oysters and cold beverages.  The Sons would like to offer our special thanks to Harrison Tyler for hosting the event.

Fort Pocahontas is located on the James River in Charles City county, 16 miles west of Williamsburg and 37 miles east of Richmond on Route 5. The entrance is 2 miles east of Sherwood Forest Plantation. For more information on Fort Pocahontas, please visit www.fortpocahontas.org.
